One of the most important skills a student can develop for future success is reading comprehension. To help our students advance in this area and to promote a lifelong love of reading, St. John Vianney School participates in the Accelerated Reader Program. Students in each grade choose books to read outside of their normal classroom activities. After finishing a book, the student takes a test to assess reading comprehension. When students successfully complete tests, they earn points. Each grade has point-level goals and students can earn prizes and recognition for their reading achievements.
