3K & 4K

As children enter the PreK program at St. John Vianney School, much of the focus is on social/emotional development. Each student is welcomed as part of our class, school, and church family with the goal of making children feel safe and valued in the classroom.

The preschool program is designed to be play-based, child-centered, and hands-on. Children lead their own play with well-thought-out activities and developmentally appropriate manipulatives from which to choose. Being part of a group, playing cooperatively, honoring Jesus, and learning basic life skills are all a part of our daily program.

In addition to social, emotional, and spiritual development, the core subjects of math, literacy, science and social studies are incorporated into our daily play routine. Our preschool classes receive personalized attention from teachers and full-time aids offering all the needed help to build a strong academic foundation necessary for future success.
